Compass Staff

James Bowers - Compass Director jbowers@gcts.eduJames Bowers, Program Director

jbowers@gcts.edu

Born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, James began a slow migration toward the Atlantic Ocean in his twenties. Before coming to Gordon-Conwell in 2004, James was involved in educational publishing for five years in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was also actively involved with the international student community. On his way to completing his Master of Divinity at Gordon-Conwell in 2008, he joined the RMI summer staff in 2007, and eventually came on board as the director. The Compass program gives him the opportunity to do life with students, to play outdoors and to travel with purpose—three of his favorite things. James, his wife Dawn and their three children live in Gloucester, Massachusetts, about as close to the Atlantic
   as he can get.
