The Theological Expedition is a journey into a wilderness as vast as the Adirondack Mountains. Based on the Gordon-Conwell campus just north of Boston, Massachusetts, and guided by some of the best seminary teachers in the world, we'll explore questions about God, Jesus, the Bible, our culture and ourselves.
Questions You Might Be Asking
What if I don’t feel very smart when it comes to understanding the Bible?
- The Bible is a big book, and we don’t expect you to be an expert. Just come with a willingness to learn. Whether you are a relatively new Christian or you've been in church all your life, you're going to discover there's a whole lot more to learn.
What denomination does my church need to be?
- You don't need to be from any particular denomination. Compass is for Christian high school students who take their faith seriously. In theological terms, Compass is evangelical and multi-denominational, and the theology that we teach will be in the line of people like Billy Graham.
Will I be in classes all day?
- We know that you’ve been in school all year and don’t necessarily want to spend all your summer days in a classroom. Once the Theological Expedition begins, you probably won't want to stop exploring, but we don’t want to overload your brains.
