Bryn Clark, Program Director
Bryn was raised in a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. He recieved a B.A. in English from Wheaton College (Illinois), and a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell. Although he was raised in the Midwest, Bryn's heart is from Maine, where he lived between undergraduate courses and his time in seminary. Bryn - by his own admission - has too many hobbies. Outside he enjoys skiing (downhill and cross-country), kayaking, running, backpacking and climbing. He also loves baking and cooking, as well as brewing different types and styles of coffee (which he actually doesn't like to drink). Bryn loves to write and will read just about anything he can get his hands on. One of his life goals is to win a game of tennis against his wife, Mollie. They live in South Hamilton.
James Bowers, Director of Sustainability
Born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, James began a slow migration toward the Atlantic Ocean in his twenties. Before coming to Gordon-Conwell in 2004, James was involved in educational publishing for five years in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was also actively involved with the international student community. On his way to completing his Master of Divinity at Gordon-Conwell in 2008, he joined the RMI summer staff in 2007, and eventually came on board as the director, a role he filled until 2015. He now directs program sustainablity and teaches high school Bible and math in Arkansas. The Compass program gives him the opportunity to do life with students, to play outdoors and to travel with purpose—three of his favorite things
Ryan Tussey, Assistant
Ryan is a Midwesterner through and through. He was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana and he attended Hope College in Holland, Michigan. After his time at Hope, Ryan left with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Youth Ministry. Currently, Ryan is pursuing a Master of Divinity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Ryan was raised as an avid Buckeye fan and on Saturdays, in the fall, you will find him glued to the TV watching his beloved football team and cheering them onto victory.
